Squeeze Casting Delivers Forging-Level Mechanical Properties

This automotive rear tow bar was previously manufactured using forging and machining, with a rough part weight of approximately 5 kg. By adopting squeeze casting followed by precision machining, we are able to meet all drawing and functional requirements while reducing the rough weight to just 2.5 kg—without compromising strength, which remains equivalent to that achieved through forging. Squeeze casting offers significant cost savings, improved production efficiency, and reliable performance.
